As we celebrate Ramadan this month, we take part in the sacred Arabian tradition which is also a refreshing experience for expatriates as a real chance to get to know the locals, their culture and their way of life.  With these in mind, aside from the traditional Arabic delicacies, our Ramadan feast will have a twist by adding some international cuisines like Tex-Mex and Japanese sushi & sashimi.

Ramadan Culinary Delights at Siji

Daily Iftar Buffet at Al Diwan

Break your fast this Ramadan at Al Diwan Restaurant with a lavish Iftar buffet spread featuring traditional Chicken shawarma with condiments, Char-grilled stations, fish & poultry barbeque station, fried station for fatayer, samosa, brika & filafil, a selection of garden-fresh salad bar, body nourishing soup choices, delectable hot dishes, rich deserts and juice & laban counters. 

 

 

Faseel Restaurant

Live Cooking Stations at Siji Café

Siji Café is all set to bring guests the true spice of the season with fruit drink counters featuring both chilled and fresh juice, flavoured hot Sahlab, Ramadan dessert selections, Cream Brulee, varieties of brownies, chocolates and traditional Ramadan sweets.  Low calorie sweets will also be available. To be spread out at the lobby lounge are live cooking stations for Waffles, Crepes, and Asian Tawas.  Adding twist to the celebration are international cuisine choices with of Tex-Mex sandwiches and Japanese Sushi & Sashimi.   

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dine Al Fresco at Al Shourfa

Dine al fresco with a fascinating view of the skyline at Al Shourfa Pool Bar, an open-air café by the poolside.  Sohour and other Ramadan specialties including selections of Oriental Mezzah, Oriental Mixed Grill, and seafood platter will be served from 7:00pm to 3:00am.

Fujairah Bowling Alley

Al Diar Siji Hotel's Fujairah Bowling Centre, the only electronically controlled bowling alley in the East Coast, will be open nightly from 6:00 pm (after Iftar) until 2:00 am.

 

 
       
 

 

 

 

 

 

Chef of the Month

Chef Ramsudan

Fried Noodles Basket with Sweet & Sour Prawns

 

Ingredients:

180 gms

Deep fried noodles  

5 gms each

Garlic & ginger (chopped)

5 nos.

Prawns   for frying Oil
1 pc Spring roll sheet   To taste Soya sauce, salt & pepper
50 gms Mixed vegetables (boiled)   100 ml Sweet chilli sauce
100 ml Sweet chilli sauce      

 

Method:

Blanch the noodles, then deep fry. Drain, then set aside. Fry the prawns then sauté. Add sweet chilli sauce, set aside.

 

Saute garlic and ginger in another saucepan. Add the boiled mixed vegetables. Season with soya sauce, salt & pepper. Set aside.

 

Deep fry spring roll sheet until it crumples like a basket. Drain. Put the crispy noodles inside the fried spring roll sheet. Put prawns & vegetables on top. Garnish and serve.
